    About us

    Enjoy an evening’s entertainment in this quaint little theatre nestled in the countryside.

    Situated in beautiful countryside, just five miles from Newark, this amateur theatre production company has a strong reputation for producing professional, high quality entertainment. Built in 1913, in the grounds of Averham Rectory, this quaint theatre was designed by the local Reverend and built by the village carpenter. Since 1961, it been a public theatre and, today, is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time and talents to ensure everyone can enjoy a unique theatrical experience. 

    Seating 150, this small and friendly theatre attracts a wide range of theatre companies and hosts a diverse variety of performances. Visitors can expect to be charmed by this venue – with a warm welcome and first-class productions on offer.
