Contemporary Art Newark (CAN) is a new public art gallery opening in summer 2026, serving Newark and the wider region.
CAN will be showing the most exciting and forward looking of contemporary painting and bringing nationally significant artists to Newark. The gallery programme revolves around the primacy and joy of looking.
Housed in a Grade II* listed building with a contemporary garden overlooking the 12th castle and the River Trent and a welcoming café at the rear.
